A first conversation
Clarity Call: a calm, focused conversation to work out your next step
Sometimes the most useful thing isn't a long-term plan. It's a single, clear conversation with someone who understands the SEND process inside out. The Clarity Call is exactly that, a focused session to help you understand where things stand and what to do next.
Who books a Clarity Call
You don't need a long-term consultant. You need clarity right now.
Most parents who book a Clarity Call are in one of these situations:
- You've just been told your child needs an EHCP and you have no idea where to start.
- You've received a draft plan and you're not sure if it's good enough.
- You've got an annual review coming up and you don't know what to ask for.
- The school is saying everything is fine but it doesn't feel fine.
- You've tried to navigate this on your own and you're exhausted by the language and the paperwork.
If any of that sounds familiar, the Clarity Call is the right starting point. It's intentionally short, deliberately focused, and designed to leave you with practical next steps, not more information to wade through.

Common questions
Questions parents often ask before booking
Is the Clarity Call right for me if I'm just at the start of the process?
Yes. Most parents who book a Clarity Call are in the early stages, either before requesting an assessment or just after receiving a draft plan. The earlier you have one of these conversations, the more useful it tends to be.
What if I need more support after the call?
That's a normal part of the process. Claire will tell you honestly whether further support (like a full EHCP Review or Annual Review Support) would help, or whether you can take it from here on your own. There's no pressure to book anything else.
Will Claire join meetings with my school or local authority?
A Clarity Call doesn't include attending meetings, but Claire can help you prepare for them and discuss the right questions to ask. If you need someone alongside you for the meetings themselves, look at Annual Review Support instead.
How quickly can we have the call?
Usually within one to two weeks of your first message. If your situation is genuinely time-pressured (for example, a review meeting in the next 7 days), say so when you get in touch. Claire will do what she can to prioritise.
How is the call delivered?
By video call (Zoom or Google Meet, whichever you prefer). The call is for you to talk, ask questions, and leave with answers. You don't need to prepare anything formal.
Do I need to share documents in advance?
Not unless you want to. If you have a draft EHCP, a recent school report, or anything else specific you'd like Claire to look at briefly, send it through the day before. For more thorough document review, see the EHCP Review service.
Not sure if this is the right next step?
Send a short message describing your situation. Claire will reply with an honest view on whether a Clarity Call is the right starting point, or whether something else would help more.
